The Division of Educational Outreach offers several computer and technology related courses for business professionals as well as casual home users. The computer courses fall under two distinct categories, "Home Computing" and "Professional Computing".
Home Computing courses are non-credit. They're geared for beginners who are not familiar with the basic concepts and fundamentals of working with a personal computer. These courses are stepping stones to more advanced classes and will make students more comfortable with using a computer. Home Computing courses can not be applied towards any of the professional computer certificate programs offered in this department.
Professional certificate programs and courses offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) with the successful completion of each of these courses. These professional courses are geared towards business professionals who are improving their own skill sets to benefit their work productivity and careers, or for those people who are changing careers and need to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to start a new profession in the computer industry.
