UNLV Continuing Education is creating new opportunities to better serve the evolving needs of our students and the city. The emergence of business, residential, and creative communities downtown is the inspiration behind new downtown classroom spaces and learning opportunities at Neonopolis, Historic Fifth Street School, and other partner locations.
Kicking off in April is the new Continuing Education Samplers, an opportunity to sample our courses and programs. The first series of classes will be in the Window meeting space at the Ogden in Downtown Las Vegas.
Get a taste for a vegetarian lifestyle with Vegetarian Eating & Living for Everyone on Thursday, April 17 from 5:30-7 p.m. Instructor Adria DeCorte will let you sample recipes and advise on steps you can take to reduce or eliminate meat from your diet.
The second April sampler course is one of the most important you may ever take. Knowing CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) and how to operate an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) can make a critical difference in an emergency situation. An abbreviated CPR/AED: Adult & Child course on Tuesday, April 29 from 6-7:30 p.m. will not lead to certification, but will cover life saving essentials.
Classes in the Continuing Education Samplers will meet for 90 minutes and are affordably priced at $15. The Ogden is located at 150 North Las Vegas Boulevard (Ogden Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard).
