It’s one thing to love to teach. It’s another to love to teach what you love to do. Check out our interview with Jamie, Yocono, instructor of UNLV Continuing Education’s woodworking classes.

Classes meet in a well-equipped woodshop, featuring a SawStop table saw, two jointers, 24" planer, wide board sander, and much more. In the basic woodworking class, you will learn how to set up, use, and maintain all major woodworking tools including the table saw, jointer, planer, drill press, band saw, and stationary belt sander. Students complete three projects designed to teach practical use of the tools. Once done, you will feel confident enough to not only use all of these tools, but to make wise purchases of your own tools.
