Heighten your awareness of suspicious activity so you do not become the victim of a crime. This class analyzes multiple case studies of violent crimes utilizing actual surveillance video. Each case is systematically dissected, focusing on all the pre-cursors relating to the suspect, victim, and premise. Particular emphasis is placed on the behavior of the suspect, or "Signs of Suspicion." These are very visible physical indicators or micro-expressions displayed by criminals prior to committing an act of violence. The class then covers the fight, flight, freeze, and appease response. Upon completion of the class, students will be able to identify multiple signs of suspicion and understand methods to best handle a critical incident.
