Respond effectively and confidently to a medical emergency, providing lifesaving support until emergency care arrives. Subjects taught include adult and child CPR and AED, cardiac arrest, choking, and treatment for shock. The first aid portion of the course covers illnesses, bleeding injuries, musculoskeletal injuries, bites and stings, and more. This two-year American Heart Association certification is accepted by teaching institutions, medical institutions, and many other occupations.

Brew your own craft beer and appreciate the subtle smells, flavors, and tastes of various beer styles. During the first meeting discuss the beer making process, sample grains and hops, talk about yeast, and start an extract beer as a class. Week two, visit a local brewery or taproom to sample beers and talk with the head brewer. Next comes a bottling day, followed by a second brewery or taproom field trip. The course culminates in a taste test of the class beer and an opportunity to pair various beer styles with meats and cheeses. You must be 21 to enroll in this class.
