The Office of Continuing Education in UNLV's Division of Educational Outreach is committed to creating an environment that promotes quality instruction, professional development, and community engagement. Our courses and programs are monitored through established procedures with clearly defined roles and responsibilities, and are assessed with regard to student achievement .This practice serves as a process to help identify and inspire firm education and training practices of all our offerings for the purpose of in-house reporting and meeting the NWCCU standards.
At the Office of Continuing Education, we design and deliver high quality non-credit programs, courses, workshops and seminars for your personal enrichment and professional advancement.
We draw upon the expertise of UNLV's outstanding academic and administrative faculty, along with experienced community members, to offer innovative and comprehensive courses.
Our greatest strengths are our flexibility in scheduling and pricing and our ability to offer students of any age whatever education they need. Our programs and classes exist because the community has requested them, there is an economic or personal need for them here in Las Vegas, or a local, domestic or international business has partnered with us to create customized training for its employees.
Whether you're a professional, a business owner, or a casual learner, if you're a non-traditional, non-degree-seeking student, Continuing Education is your point of access for UNLV's learning community.
Professional Development
Our professional development classes and our certificate programs develop and further the skills you need for your career. In most certificate programs, you earn Continuing Education Credits (CEUs), a nationally recognized measure of non-credit classroom accomplishments. Continuing Education Units are calculated following the guidelines from the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).
We serve as a focal point for all non-credit business and professional development programs, courses, workshops, conferences, and seminars offered through the Division of Educational Outreach. Our professional development programs focus on your professional and personal productivity, efficiency, and competency.
Personal Enrichment
Our personal enrichment classes help you learn more about the world - and enter new ones. They are non-credit, test-free, stress-free classes on anything from how to use a computer, to painting, to foreign languages.
